Are you ready to get serious about publishing content that produces results?

Perhaps you’ve been posting consistently for a while now, but you’re not getting any closer to your goals. Or maybe you’re struggling to get started with a content plan because it all just feels so overwhelming.

What I want you to know is that it doesn’t have to be this way. When you can learn to use content intentionally, you can create less and have it work harder for your business. With the right plan, content can help you:

< 1 >

Tell your story, promote awareness, and build your brand.

< 2 >

Grow a community of like-minded people who support your work.

< 3 >

Make new connections and strengthen existing relationships.

To put it simply, intentional content will transform your business.

What is intentional content?

It’s strategic, considered, and well-planned. Intentional content supports wider business goals. It’s designed with a destination in mind, and it’ll steer your audience in the right direction.

If you’re going to hire a content writer, choose one who’s committed to producing real results.

Hi, I’m Sophie.

What happens when you hire me?

I’m not here just to help you get one more thing ticked off the list. This is about taking your business to the next level and doing it in a simple, manageable way that you feel confident with.

I want to work with you to find a marketing strategy that’s built around you. How that looks will depend entirely upon your goals, your target clients, and your preferences.

Most clients start off with one blog post per month, and then expand on that or explore new ideas with me once we’ve gotten to know each other better. Here’s how the starter package looks:

Your monthly blog package

There’s a minimum 3-month commitment to this package, and that ties in nicely with the quarterly planning session we’ll have.

More than just the content…

This package includes a free quartlery planning session, where we’ll get together on Skype or Zoom to talk everything through.

Why? Because it’s important that your blog content ties in with everything else you’re doing to promote your business.

You need a marketing partner; someone you can talk goals and strategy with.

Other options

Beyond this starter package, I offer a half-day rate of £144 or a full-day rate of £288.

If you want something other than blog posts, we’ll have a chat about whether I can help. If I can, I’ll give you a fixed quote upfront based on how long I expect the project to take.

What’s it like working with me?

“I bloody love working with you Sophie! You get just as excited about my business as I do, and you have SUCH good ideas.” Sadie Finch

Virtual Assistant

“It’s brilliant having someone I trust to support me with content. It means I can focus on the bigger picture and my clients.” Carly Stringer

Social Media Trainer

Sophie has brought so much more to our projects than just great writing (though that’s there!).

She’s come with enthusiasm, attention to detail and ideas of how we can do things better. It’s not just the writing, it’s that friendly support. It feels like we’re working as a team.

Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to push the Being Freelance podcast forward the way I have this year. Steve Folland

ARE YOU READY TO GET INTENTIONAL WITH YOUR CONTENT?

Still got questions?

I’ve answered some common ones here.

What will you need from me to get started?
We’ll have a chat on the phone first. That’ll give you a chance to tell me all about your business and what you’re hoping to achieve. You can also ask me any questions you might have.

Once we decide to go ahead, I’ll ask you to sign an agreement (don’t worry, it’s nothing scary) and pay for your first month upfront.

From there, I’ll send over a workbook for you to fill out. It’ll help us both get clear on your goals and your content strategy. Once I get your responses, I’ll start planning your content.

Will my content be optimised for search engines?

Sure. I’ll conduct basic keyword research when I’m putting together the outline for your content. There’ll be one target keyword for each page, as well as the copy for a Google results page heading and description.

Your content will be formatted with search engines in mind, though writing quality content that’s targeted at humans will be the priority. (And that’s all that Google’s after, really.)

Will I get a chance to review what you've written?
Of course. I want this process to be as collaborative as possible. You’ll get an opportunity to review an outline for each piece of content.

Once that’s approved I’ll get to work writing, and you’ll then get a complete first draft for review. I’m always happy to incorporate feedback.

How do your prices compare?

A 2018 ProCopywriters’ survey found that the average day rate is £342.

At £288, my day rate is relatively affordable. It’s based on £30 per hour + 20% tax.

Having said that, I ask my clients to look beyond the amount of time they’re paying me for and instead consider the value of the work I’m delivering.

If you’re publishing high-quality, well-planned content that fits within a wider strategy, you have every chance of achieving your goals.

I’m focused on making sure that happens, and that’s exactly why my clients value me so much.

When can you start?

I have availability from January 2019 onwards. If you’re interested, let’s talk now so we can be up and running as the new year kicks off.

Last updated 23rd November 2018.
